The great orion nebula lies in the middle of the belt of the orion star formation. It can be seen by naked eye as a small, diffuse patch of light – if the light polition ist not to high.
This image is a false color image and contains data of the Ha / Hydrogen alpha wave lenght (red color) and the OIII / Oxygen 3 wavelength (cyan color) of the nebula. TWo of the most common elements that can be found in such nebula.
Data has been aquired using a remote telescop in spain.
